Tom Cioffe of
Compensation Solutions, Inc. in Oakland, New Jersey, Alexandria, Va. (September 26, 2005) — Thomas J. Cioffe, co-founder and President/CEO of Compensation Solutions, Inc. based in Oakland, New Jersey, will serve in 2006 and 2007 on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). The association represents the $43 billion PEO industry, which delivers Fortune 500 employee benefits and human resources expertise to America’s main-street businesses. Cioffe was elected to his first term as a NAPEO Director by a vote of the national membership during annual conference in mid-September. Approximately 650 PEO leaders and vendors participated in the conference and trade show, which is the largest gathering of leaders in the PEO industry. “I am honored to serve on the NAPEO Board,” Cioffe said. “In this role I welcome the opportunity to advance the goals of our industry. I look forward to working diligently with other Board Members to address federal and state regulatory issues to ensure the needs of our membership are met. As a NAPEO Director, I plan to focus my time on promoting the Hi-Tech - Hi-Touch approach where the use of technology is in addition to, and not instead of a Hi-Touch service model. I will also focus on ensuring that NAPEO’s programs deliver exactly what PEO leaders need in a changing and challenging business climate.” At Compensation Solutions, Cioffe directs the senior management team and is responsible for the overall vision and leadership, revenues and expenses, profits, client and associate retention, and operations of the company. He works closely with sales and other members of management to facilitate the attainment of goals and development of new products and procedures. He has more than 25 years of experience in technology-driven, service-oriented businesses, and an extensive background in compensation, human resource management, and the PEO industry. His management background includes sales and marketing, client services, operations, information technology, finance and accounting, human resources and risk management. He also has extensive experience in the areas of organizational development and leadership, process improvement, and systems implementation. Cioffe is a four-time finalist for the Ernst & Young New Jersey Entrepreneur of the Year award. He currently chairs NAPEO’s New Jersey Leadership Council and served two terms as President of NAPEO’s New Jersey Chapter. He is also a representative to the Governor’s Healthcare Council, a commission established to address concerns relating to small employer’s health insurance as well as the growing population of the uninsured. NAPEO is the oldest and largest national association representing PEOs in the United States. Formed 20 years ago, NAPEO represents 355 PEOs generating 70 percent of the industry’s revenues. The association provides education, government relations, public relations and industry best practices for its members, which are located in all 50 states.
